Trinity Travelers

Trinity Travelers is Chapter 21 of the United Methodist Campers (NUMC) which has chapters in 8 states.  Membership is open to anyone who believes in Christ and has a love for the outdoors.  Campouts are held each month, and activities include playing games, worshipping at area churches, shopping and eating (lots of eating).  Membership is open to anyone who is a believer and who likes to fellowship in the great outdoors with fellow believers.  Don't have a "rig"?  Not to worry -- come on down for a day or a meal -- we'd love to have you visit!  Many of the campgrounds have cabins available for those who want to attend.

Almost 10 years ago a small group of enthusiastic campers from CCUMC organized Trinity Travelers, Chapter 21 of National United Methodist Campers. Since then, the group has grown from 5 member families from CCUMC to 28 families from 8 different churches and 5 denominations, with CCUMC still having the largest number of members. Each month we journey to a campground within 100 miles of Bastrop to play, worship, fellowship, sight see and EAT. We have “rigs” of all sizes, and the campgrounds we attend usually have cabins for those without a camper. Campouts are officially Thursday through Sunday morning, but members are free to come and go as their schedules allow. Those remaining on Sunday morning attend a local church before breaking camp.

Trinity Travelers is open to anyone who loves the Lord and who loves to camp! Many of the parks have cabin rentals available, so you don’t even need a “rig” to join us! We love to have visitors come and dine with us!
